The world needs a different kind of warrior
The world needs a different kind of warrior
Shaped by the soft, steadfast strength of water,
Poignant and persistent, flowing with purpose.
Not a braggart of fleeting power,
With clenched fists and words inflated,
Nor a dealer in hollow visions of grandeur,
But a soul who labors deliberately for life—
Her bow arched toward justice,
Her gaze fixed on a horizon rich with meaning,
Each sinew straining against the weight of empire,
Her heart pulsing with the stories
Of those she fiercely loves.
The world needs a different kind of warrior
Gentle, yet unyielding to lies,
Whose realm stretches beyond the known,
To the stranger, the outcast,
And all who thirst for what is just.
